What we keep, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Sites by Digit is a Digit Software business operated by Digit Web Solutions LLC.
What we collect
- When you sign up: your name, email address, phone number, business name and billing address, and whether you own a domain. Stripe collects your card details; we never receive your full card number.
- To build your site: the information you send us about your business, such as your services, service area, hours, logo and photos.
- When you email us: your messages and our replies.
- Billing records: your plan, payment dates, amounts and subscription status, as Stripe reports them.
- Which page and plan led to a sign-up: a short code on our checkout links (for example "starter--signup"), never who you are.
How we use it
- To build, host and maintain your website, and to make the changes you ask for.
- To bill you and keep accurate business records.
- To answer your questions and send you service messages, such as your preview or a billing notice.
What you ask us to put on your website (your business phone number, for example) is public on your site, because that is its purpose.
Where it's kept and who helps us
Your records are kept on Digit Software's private server. A few service providers help us run Sites by Digit: Stripe for payments and billing, Cloudflare to host customers' websites, our email provider to send and receive email, and Anthropic, whose AI models help us prepare website content and draft replies to your messages. We share with each only what it needs for that work. We don't sell your information or share it for anyone's advertising.
Emails we send to businesses
If we email a local business to offer our service, we use the business address it publishes, say who we are and explain how to stop: reply "unsubscribe" and we won't email you again.
Cookies and tracking
This website uses no cookies and no tracking. Stripe's checkout and billing pages are run by Stripe and follow Stripe's own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
While you're a customer, and afterwards for as long as we need it for billing, tax and legal reasons. You can ask us to delete what we don't need to keep.
Your choices
Email support@sites.digit.software to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to ask anything about this notice.
Changes
If we change this notice, we update this page, and we tell customers by email about any important change.
